About Us:
Sodie Davidson Park Pool is a vibrant community pool dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience for all patrons. We are currently seeking dedicated and responsible individuals to join our team as Lifeguards for the upcoming season.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure Safety: Monitor the pool area to prevent accidents and respond immediately to emergencies.
2. Enforce Rules: Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
3. Provide First Aid: Administer first aid and CPR as needed.
4. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to all pool patrons, answering questions and assisting with their needs.
5. Maintain Cleanliness: Assist with pool maintenance tasks, including cleaning and ensuring the pool area is tidy.
6. Attend Trainings: Participate in mandatory training sessions and drills to maintain lifeguard certification and skills.
7. Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other lifeguards and pool staff to ensure smooth operation of the facility.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Possess current lifeguard certification from a recognized organization (e.g., American Red Cross, YMCA).
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required.
- Strong swimming skills and knowledge of water safety practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
- Reliable and punctual.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and remain alert for extended periods.
- Capable of performing rescue and first aid procedures, including lifting and carrying individuals.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Schedule:
- Part-time hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Seasonal position, with the possibility of extension based on performance and availability.
